Hi! I’m Song, a passionate and patient Chinese teacher with a deep love for languages and communication. I studied at a university in the U.S., and after graduating, I worked for four years at an American company. Last year, I left my corporate job to travel—and over the past year, I’ve explored more than 10 countries.
My journey led me to discover that teaching Chinese is not just a job for me—it’s a calling. Language and teaching are my natural talents. I’m a good listener, I give timely and personalized feedback, and I always try to create a relaxed, encouraging environment for my students.
I teach Chinese at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. With my strong English skills and cross-cultural experience, I’m especially good at helping students understand the “why” behind the language and guiding them to express themselves with confidence. Whether you’re learning for school, work, travel, or just for fun, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My lessons follow a clear and flexible structure: small talk – review – new content – summary. I put special emphasis on the small talk part because my goal is to help you express yourself in Chinese. This is where we explore the Chinese language through your daily life, thoughts, and experiences.
If you’re not yet comfortable having free conversations, I will use HSK materials to support your learning of key vocabulary and grammar in the “new content” section.
If you can already speak more freely, we will choose a topic to dive deeper into. We might co-create a story together, or you might have things you want to express—I’ll be there to listen, guide, and give you timely feedback to improve your fluency and accuracy.
My teaching style is student-centered, supportive, and adaptable to your needs. Let’s bring the Chinese language into your real life, one conversation at a time.
